Every Farfisa combo organ we restore for sale goes through the same meticulous process we're known for, with dozens of hours devoted to bringing each instrument to exceptional playing condition. We prioritize period-correct vintage components whenever possible, and turn to the best available reproduction parts when originals are no longer viable — always working to preserve the instrument's original character and unmistakable combo organ tone. The result is an organ that plays, sounds, and holds up better than it likely has since it left the factory.
This organ comes from Farfisa's VIP series, introduced in 1970 as the next step up from the Compact and FAST lines. VIP organs moved to a drawbar-based voicing system more reminiscent of a Hammond than the switch-and-tab layouts of earlier Farfisa organs, and introduced the "Synthe-Slalom" foot pedal — an automated pitch-bend/portamento effect not found on any earlier Farfisa combo organ — for more expressive playing.
The VIP 345 is a single-manual model with a full 61-key synth-action keyboard, built around a drawbar-based voicing system in place of the rocker tabs used on the Compact and FAST lines, plus the VIP series' built-in percussive effects for added rhythmic texture.
Paired with this organ is a Leslie Model 825 rotating speaker cabinet — the classic way to give a combo organ its swirling, three-dimensional sound. Rather than pushing sound straight out of a fixed speaker, a Leslie moves it through spinning rotors, creating the shimmering, doppler-shifted vibrato and chorus effect that defined organ tone on countless records. The 825 is a solid-state model built around a 12" speaker and a roughly 70-watt amplifier, with a two-speed motor that lets you switch between a slow, lush chorale and a fast tremolo, all housed in a road-ready vinyl-covered cabinet designed for organs, keyboards, and guitars.
