Every Yamaha CP we restore for sale receives the same detail-oriented process we bring to every instrument in our shop, with dozens of hours spent bringing it to exceptional playing and touring condition. Because the CP is a true acoustic piano at its core — hammers striking real strings, no synthesis involved — our restoration covers full piano tuning and regulation in addition to the electronics, pickups, and hardware that make it stage-ready. We use period-correct parts wherever we can, and the best available reproduction parts where we can't, always working to keep the CP's unmistakable bright, percussive character intact.

This is the "B" revision of the CP-70, introduced in 1978 with an upgraded pickup system, a balanced output, and the power switch relocated from the front panel to the side of the cabinet. CP-70B units are known for holding their tuning noticeably better than the earlier, original CP-70.
