We were recently contacted by Colombian singer Manuel Turizo to build a special custom Rhodes piano. After perusing our inventory, we selected a wonderful 1975 stage 73 piano. This one came to us without a case top, making it a prime candidate for one of our hand built walnut enclosures. In addition to the case, our custom shop also supplied matching cheekblocks, a mirror namerail and a super cool smoked plexiglass lid!
Looks are only half the battle. The real work is in our mechanical restoration. From replacing aging rubber components to an action overhaul to a comprehensive tuning and voicing setup, our restoration ensures no stone is left unturned and this piano plays better than when it left the factory in 1975.
That said, we take great pride in our finishing work. The devil is in the details:
